the "aisle moment."

I believe the “aisle moment” during a wedding ceremony is a pivotal moment,
NOT because you’re seeing each other for the first time

and NOT because he’s finally seeing your dress,
instead,
its because its the moment when it all sinks in:
i’m getting married!!!!!!!

Therefore, whether you see each other before the ceremony (a “first look”) or not,
you will have the “aisle moment,”
guaranteed.
(A First Look is when the bride and groom decide to see each other
before the ceremony, in private,
with only the photographer capturing their shock, smiles, and tears.
It allows the bride and groom to have a quiet moment alone,
after all, the day is about the two of them.)
 As the “aisle moment” arrives,
an overwhelming amount of emotions suddenly surface,
and within 30 seconds the aisle moment begins and ends!!
There simply isn’t enough time for reality to sink in!!
Im not sure the groom even has enough time
to check out your fabulous dress, jewelry, and bouquet!
That’s why I believe the couples that choose a First Look
are able to enjoy the “aisle moment” more than
the couples that wait to see each other on the aisle,
because their nerves are much calmer which allows them
to be in the moment.
I also think it’s weird that as a society,
we expect men to reserve their emotions throughout their entire lives,
yet on their wedding day,
they are expected to stand in front of an audience with absolutely no reservations!
It’s quite an odd concept when you think about it!

After my own wedding experience and being a part of 25 others,
I firmly believe having a First Look creates a more memorable (and manageable) aisle moment,
which is why i recommend this choice to all of my couples.
(First Look’s also provide an ideal, relaxing timeline,
but you can read about that here.)

Here are a few First Look’s from last summer!
They are such a treasure!!
