I hadn’t been to downtown Detroit in almost eight years so when I had the opportunity to explore it with two locals for their engagement session….. I COULDNT WAIT!!!!! We started the session in their home, then we rode around on scooters and bikes to eclectic, amazing locations around Detroit!!! I loved EVERY MINUTE.

My favorite way to start engagement photos is at home, where people are soooooo comfortable and at ease!! My cousin Ashlyn and her new fiance Travis traveled to Arizona to avoid the snow and cold temperatures of Michigan for their engagement photos! Ashlyn is also a photographer so OF COURSE these photos are more precious to her than the average person! Her trust in me is truly one of the most heart-swelling feelings...
