the other day,
i spent a few hours reading my mom’s journal…
its not what you think.
It was a journal she kept while raising her six children.
She tried to write down the funny things
we said throughout the years.

here are my favorite:
When i was three years old,
my mom and dad’s door was shut and i said,
“What you doin? huggin and kissin?”
My sister was four when she called my mom ‘stupid.’
My mom told her “that’s a sin,”
so my sister quickly replied,
“But God forgives sins.”
My two year old brother was licking my moms shirt,
so she asked why,
he replied,
“i’m lickin you because I love you!”
Another brother received a golf club (my dad’s old one) for Christmas
and after opening it, he said,
“Santa used it already…”
and after opening it, he said,

Later on in the journal,
my Mom wrote:
“Lea loves to write stories and poems and also take pictures.
I hope she continues and makes something from it!”
and here i am.
23 years old
and writing stories

Life is Good.
i took the following images when i was about 6 years old.
They are the earliest photos i found,
minus the few of my mom that she wouldnt appreciate plastered on my blog.

(i took a photo of a photo so the quality is junk.)
how cute is my brother?!
lastly, i discovered the origin of my nickname “Weezy”
or more commonly, “Weez” or “Weezy-Butt.”
My dad started calling me Weezy when i was 6 months old!
No one had any idea when or who started this trend until we read the journal:)

This was a Christmas present from my brother this year:

(also, you cant go wrong with using paper bags as wrapping paper!)
