this is a love story.
that begins with a psychic.
yes, a psychic.
now you know this isnt a typical fairytale!
this is the story of Malcolm and I.
i have had many psychic/intuitive readings,
each one blessing my life in different ways.
but in this particular reading,
she was spot-on with the man i was to marry in the future.
(this reading was 5 years ago)
she said the man has a name starting with MA,
like Mark.
*he’s a bit older, 21-22 years old.
*he’s grounded and wise.
*he has dark, wavy hair.
* he’s taller, about 6’1″ or 6’2″.
*he’s a “senior” in life.
*he’s a complete athlete
(she saw him wearing an athletic suit/track suit.)
*he’s into nutrition, health, and diet.
*he is spiritual.
then she saw a motorcycle or scooter.
(Malcolm used to have a dirt bike)
then the intuitive reading closed out with this last quote:
“dear Lea, a new chapter in your life is about to emerge.
its time.
are you ready?!
It’s around the corner!
It’s a new guy.
Let Go of Fear and embrace the unknown.
Do not be afraid to be alone.”
now, if you don’t know Malcolm,
he is every single one of the those qualities,
and more.
his heart is made of gold.
he is generous, considerate and thoughtful.
while at the grocery store,
i dont ask him to get me my favorite G.T’s Kombucha,
but he gets it anyway.
i ask him to get me 1 Macaroon Madness bar,
and he gets me 3.
My brothers beg me to drive them
all the way across the bridge to McDonalds….
and i complain,
while malc hops in the car and brings them.
and then buys them scratch-off lottery tickets.
he has an open mind.
thats kind of a necessity dating someone like me right?
considering our story began with a psychic.
i grew up on rice milk, tea tree oil shampoo
and lentils.
i didnt think id find a guy who uses fluoride-free toothpaste,
wants a garden in the backyard,
drinks vegetable blend juices,
and loves to spend afternoons in an organic grocery store,
while looking like he walked out of GQ.
I used to complain that he is asleep by 10 pm,
or that he doesnt socialize very often,
but i have to come embrace and love him for those very reasons.
he simply has his act together.
and is a “senior” in life.
or that he doesnt socialize very often,
but i have to come embrace and love him for those very reasons.
he simply has his act together.
and is a “senior” in life.
i was just going to write
how i could not have dreamt up Malc’s qualites,
but i just had an AHA! moment.
Malc is so much like my father,
and my mother.
a blend of their most amazing qualities.
i am so thankful for Malcolm to come into my life.
sooo cheesy to say….
but he makes me a better person:P
this is our first picture together, 4 years ago:
i took these pictures in Arizona,
i love how refreshing they look:
