i sat with my iPhone glued in my hand with weather.com’s
streaming twitter feed,
refreshing it every 20 seconds,
just in case it didn’t refresh itself.
Within 2 hours my Indiana town had 2 tornado warnings,
which means
take cover – a tornado is coming!!
We live on a second floor apartment building,
with no basement, so i was freaking out,
seriously clueless what to do.
The only thing i could think of was to hide in the bathtub,
but thats made out of plastic!!
The second thing that ran through my head was to grab my cameras and Mac computers
and take them into the bathtub with me hahha!
THANK GOD
we missed two different tornados by 10 miles.
I think the major tornado that devastated the eastern part of Indian a
formed 10 miles north of me!!!
About 95 tornados were reported in the Midwest within 24 hours.
That’s beyond crazy.
How can you deny the Earth is shifting after news like this!?
So my lesson through this experience was that
yes, blizzard’s suck sometimes,
but they cannot tear your home down
or wrap your car around your tree.
Living in a tornado area is like living in a war zone,
you never know when its going to strike,
and if it does,
it can take your life, family, and/or home.
Winter driving can be dangerous but if you’re careful,
a blizzard simply delays your travel plans.
That’s nothing like living in a war zone!
Now the thought of living in Arizona
has become even more desirable than ever!!
someday someday someday.
^ Remember when i was in Sweden? ^
that seems forever ago….
I feel very fortunate having constant opportunities to travel
so that i can learn what climates i like and i dont like
and where i want to live
and where i absolutely don’t!!
