storytime

Yesterday,
my friend received a pair of earrings i sent to her.
The earrings are in the shape of the Upper Peninsula.
So she texts me,
“Thank you for the earrings, of course i love them!!
The crazy thing is that the other day
i thought to myself,
i really need a pair of U.P. earrings!!!”

This story is crazy for two reasons:
1. who thinks to themselves,
“i need earrings in the shape of the u.p.”
i didnt even know such a thing existed until a few months ago!
2. I have had the earrings for months,
and for whatever reason just couldnt get the dang things in the mail until this week.
I could have sent them when i bought them,
but i didnt.
Instead, 2 days after my friend decides she wants U.P. earrings,
bippity boppity boo!
they appear in her mailbox.

Next story.
This week i dreamt i survived a tornado.
It was so real, so intense, and quite frightening.
That next evening,
im sitting at the computer and i hear sirens wailing outside.
Sirens that are no doubt warning this Indiana town about impending weather.
With my dream fresh in my memory,
i suddenly get panic stricken and google “what to do in a tornado”
obviously because im from the U.P. of Michigan
and have only dealt with fluffy white things my entire life.
After i conduct my search,
i turn off my computer and carry it to a safe place.
phew, the most important thing is taken care of haha.
Then i prayed.

Thankfully the tornado warning passed a few hours earlier than planned,
so i didnt have to stay in fight-or-flight mode all evening!

These two stories are my proof that we are all connected
to everything.

What you call coincidence,
I call God.
What you call coincidence,
I call The Universe.
