3 keys to thrifting success.

For the first time in my life,
i attempted to be a Black Friday shopper.
Honestly i just wanted to see what it was like.
I ended up wasting an hour and a half and walking out with nothing!
All the things i wanted weren’t on sale
and i discovered the lovely news at the cash register after 20 minutes in line…..
n.e.v.e.r.  a.g.a.i.n.
I didn’t even attempt to go into Old Navy—
it looked like a tornado/zoo.
It seemed like all of the same deals were online too!
Crowds, pushers, waiting in line sweating
or
sitting in the comfort of your own home on the computer?
The latter is now my preference.
Although, my family decided we would give
only handmade and/or thrifted gifts to each other this year!
YAY for so many reasons!!!
Now for some lessons in thrifting:
I almost bought this shirt
from H and M for $30.

almost.
Instead of spending 30 whole dollars,
i kept that shirt on my mental list while thrift shopping,
and what do you know…..
almost the exact thing for $27.50 cheaper in the boys department at Goodwill.
I believe the keys to thrift shopping are:
1. patience
2. shopping from a list
(if you dont you will probably be too overwhelmed and just walk out)
3. search in every department;
women, men, boys, and girls.
