behind the scenes

Thank you Emily of Emily Dennis Photography
for the following behind-the-scenes photos!

When I look at the following two photos,
I think of this Christmas song,
“Run Run Rudolph!”
(I was trying to work really fast because the bridal party was freezing!)

You can always find me trying to get a few inches… or feet of height!
especially when this groom was at least 6’5″!!

behind the scenes

This is true love and sacrifice from the bride to the photographer:
standing next to a hornets nest on her wedding day!!!!!!

I put the bouquet in this window, stepped back to take a photo of it….
and it took a long fall to the ground. oops.
But it didn’t even phase the bride, Lydia. (Thank you Lydia!)

Taking advantage of having two photographers,
one getting portraits of the groom and the other of the bride:

On a mission:

Tip toes:
 Elbow out:
Tip toes and elbow out:
the fabulous hunch:
I finally bought a step stool….
until then I would try to find any log or brick to suffice my needs.

Lastly, someone put this on facebook from the bridal party at this past weekend’s wedding.
When I was taking the photo people were like,
“woah woah hardcore photographer,”
but this is the way I think about it:
if I could be working, while my feet are in Lake Superior….
there is nothing better than that!!! :)
