a coincidence, discovery, and afterthought.

Here is the end to my Boston vacation:
the following images were taken with my Canon film camera.
The coincidence:
I took this photo of a man playing an instrument…..
I felt like i recognized the guy somehow…..
turns out,
i took a photo of the SAME MAN 2 years earlier
while in Boston for my first time!!!!!!
here he is 2 years ago!
The discovery:
Nature, buildings, and things on film- cool.
People photos on film- AHHHHHHH-MAZING.
Because i have never been passionate about pictures of “things,”
i discovered my iphone does a great job with that area,
but People……
Film is where its at.
the colors!
the perfection without editing!
I wont be wasting my rolls of film on things anymore,
just people:)
The next set of images were taken with my iPhone in downtown Boston:
Occupy Boston:
the only problem is it has a hard time with sunlight/highlights…
So European<3
But when you think about it,
the earliest settlers came from Europe…
it reads: Benjamin Thompson House

The afterthought:

I walk up to the airport parking desk,
the lady asks if i have any coupons.
I say “no, do you?”
She says no then asks for my credit card.
I oblige only to have my heart drop when i see the grand total on the register.
I sign the credit card receipt,
and then she adds,
“we always have promotions and coupons and deals on our website.”

-“thanks for the afterthought lady.”

the after-AFTERthought:
I could have stood near the register,
clicked onto the company’s website with my iPhone,
found the coupon and read off the coupon number.

i still dont have a grasp on this smartphone thing…..
