creating versatile detail shots

Weddings can be intimidating because on the wedding day, 
photographer’s are dealt a hand of cards and we cant do anything about it;
the church decor, lighting, weather, scheduling issues, tardiness….
we just have to do the best we can.
During this particular wedding,
the church had great natural light but the decor was very limited.
Also, it was a cold, windy October wedding,
so outdoor detail shots wasnt an option.
This is a great example of finding one piece of decor in the church 
and how to create a few versatile, detail shots from that one, small area:
