delayed satisfaction.

Rarely do i love my own photos as i am working on them.
I dont know why,
but i think most photographers
would agree with this strange occurrence.
It’s only after time passes that i am able to look back upon my work
and nod my head and smile.
I am able to finally view the photos as a member in the audience,
instead of the photographer
because I have now forgotten (some) of my regrets or should-have’s or mistakes,
the catalyst to my ever present perfectionism.
It is from this delayed satisfaction and fulfillment that i keep photographing.
_________
That just took me an hour to write…..
sometimes when there are too many emotions, there are no words.
so i attempted to make the clearest path into my heart
with the shortest of words.
