Houghton, MI Wedding} Briana and Nate

A few years ago,
I photographed one of my best friend’s weddings’
with no assistant, helper, or second shooter….
although I was still able to enjoy the day,
I couldn’t relax and kick back at the reception.
So for Briana’s wedding, another best friends’ wedding,
I decided to split the day with Emily Dennis.
Emily second shot weddings for me last summer,
but this year she ventured out on her own!
I held the reigns during the morning and afternoon,
while Emily took control all evening.
Therefore, neither of our blog posts have the beginning and the end.
If you want to see how the night unfolded or just more photos of Briana and Nate,
visit Emily’s blog (here).
This was Briana’s idea, as she met Nate
while he was painting her neighbor’s house!
the birthday girls with the bride:
watching her man arrive at the church….
Briana’s adorable nephew:
the only G rated getting-ready photo:
all the others may or may not contain dancing around in underwear….
Happiness:)
waterfalls were flowing all day:)
another nephew:
The bride and groom were married by Nate’s grandfather.
When he asked Briana’s dad “who gives this woman to be married to this man?”
….her dad forgot to reply with, “i do.”
it was pretty funny:)
Mr and Mrs Paul!
Emily was taking groomsmen photos while I had the bridesmaids,
so I only have half the photos!
Our portrait time was really limited,
it was a suppppper sunny afternoon,
and I never shot an engagement session with them,
so considering all of that,
I love their portraits even more!!!!
Obviously you have to factor in a stunning bride, handsome groom and a beautiful house….
I dont think much can go wrong with that combo:)
My Favorite:
Nate loves his Packers!!
Wildflowers + recycled jars = the most beautiful and simple DIY decoration!
Emily’s photo:
The wedding party was given the cowboy boot mugs which very much fit the theme.
Then each bridesmaid had a photo at their seat with the bride,
and each groomsmen with the groom.
What a great personal touch!
With the help of my talented brother Cole and the idea originating from Pinterest,
we created Nate and Briana’s love story using a “Once Upon A Time” format
with symbols and logos:
Here are two photos from Emily:
Malcolm and I are dancing to Thriller!!!
I Die laughing at this!!!
my best friends and I:)
