Sometimes it takes a touching story about one of my images
to remind myself that my work is important.
Photograph’s matter.
Years ago, my friend Robin’s wedding was the fourth wedding I had ever shot,
and although I may not have known completely what I was doing,
I captured this image of Robin and her Grandpa dancing.
Her Grandpa Jack loved to dance, as does Robin.
Grandpa and granddaughter were very similar in this way: )
Recently, Grandpa Jack passed away.
But before he left, Grandpa Jack was able to say goodbye to his family.
His last words to Robin were,
“Dance All of Your Life.”
