Years ago,
in a psychic reading,
(this shouldn’t be a surprise anymore haha)
“You are a light-warrior,
because they cannot keep up with you.”
I believed this statement years ago,
but now i believe it.
By now,
if you read my blog,
(my online diary)
you already know I hold the torch for homosexuals,
although i am straight.
you already know I hold the torch for factory-farmed animals,
although i am not an animal.
(i didn’t need to state that one!)
We dont need to be of the same gender,
or culture,
or race,
or religion,
or even mammal,
to understand someone or something.
All that is needed,
is to step out of our own box,
and to look at the someone or something
with a different perspective.
This is very simple.
For example,
study your hand.
Look at your hand,
as if you have never seen it before;
the little white moons on each fingernail,
the wrinkled skin gathered at the many knuckles,
and the fingernails,
placed perfectly at the end of each finger.
What purpose does the fingernail serve anyway?
Imagine if we didn’t have them…
Why was 5 the magic number for number of fingers?
Why are the fingers different lengths?
Why do all the fingers bend in 3 segments, except for the thumb?
My point is,
we can take something we look at every-single-day,
We can take something so straight-forward,
and create a new thought or awareness that did not exist before.
I often get criticized for asking many questions.
But it is because I care, that i ask questions.
I want to understand.
I want to hear different points of view,
besides only my own.
I believe by asking questions,
we learn.
And through learning,
we are no longer ignorant,
nor judgmental.
Then, we are able to freely step out of our box,
and embrace every thing.
