Once wedding season is in full-swing here in Michigan,
I have so many photos to share with you each week
that my personal posts get slim!
I have so many photos to share with you each week
that my personal posts get slim!
So today,
I simply want to give you a Life Update:)
I simply want to give you a Life Update:)
I’ll start with the biggest news,
Malcolm is an official U.S. permanent resident!!!
We had to travel to Chicago last week for our marriage interview,
it couldn’t have gone any better…
except for the fact that he broke or tore his foot the day we left for Chicago!
Also, last week was my dad’s 10 year anniversary of his death.
My friend picked me up to go out for breakfast that morning
and on the way,
“Forever and Ever, Amen” by Randy Travis
played on the radio.
This song was my parent’s “song,”
but I consider it more of our “family song” because we all loved it,
and still do.
When I was little,
I remember lifting my cassette player onto my shoulder, right up against my ear,
and walking around the house listening to Randy Travis.
There was something about feeling as close as I could to the music.
I was obsessed with long hair when I was little, so much so
that I would put pants on my head signifying long hair!
It’s no wonder why my favorite part of the song has always been,
“They say time takes its toll on a body,
makes a young girls brown hair turn gray.
Honey I don’t care, I ain’t in love with your hair
and if it all fell out, well I’d love you anyway.”
“Forever and Ever, Amen” is more than 20 years old,
the fact that it even played on the radio
was enough for me to know it was a sign from my dad.
But that’s not it,
three hours later,
IT PLAYED ON THE RADIO AGAIN!!!
ahhh Life is Beautiful:)
