the result from my cheat day:

I know,
this cheat day report is four months over due!!!
But I really think it’s important everyone knows
what happened after my gluten cheat day….
Because I became gluten-free (kind of) unintentionally,
I never had a last hoorah
filled with baskets of bread
and doughnut twists
and stuffed crust pizza.
So I decided to have one cheat day while vacationing in Florida in February,
in which I could eat any wheat/gluten I wanted.
I had a small blueberry doughnut,
a sandwich with ciabatta bread,
and a personal pan from Pizza Hut.
Three days later,
I developed an insane cold
after being 100% healthy for that entire prior year;
no colds, flus, sore throats, or doctor visits,
nothing.
For an entire year!!!
Then I have one gluten overload day
and I get sick three days later!
I truly don’t think it was a coincidence.
And believe me, I was not cursing the gluten as I was eating it,
I was savoring it like it was my last meal on earth haha!

Moral of the story:
I would recommend a cheat meal,
not a cheat day or days!
