thrifty thursday.

At 24 years old,
I finally learned the power of a to-do list.
Tuesday:
A million things to do,
had all day to complete them,
no to-do list,
0 out of million tasks completed.
Wednesday:
A million things to do,
narrowed it down to 7 things that needed to get done that day
 no exceptions,
wrote out a to-do list,
7 out of 7 tasks completed…
with a few hours to spare before bed!!!
So I spent that time watching Nashville
and writing this post
(which is technically still “work” and not relaxing argghh).
I had a successful thrifting weekend
from Goodwill and Savers:
T-shirt: thrifted
Vest: thrifted
Pants: thrifted
Shoes: thrifted
Hat: Target
That’s my girl Molly:)

thrifty thursday.

You wouldn’t guess it by my calendar,
but October was the most insane month of this year,
simply because it’s the month that follows September.
The work piled so high from September
that I started suffering from stress-related health issues,
which is far from normal for me.
All year I was able to stick to my workflow
and make great turn-around time with weddings and sessions,
but then September hit me and it knocked the wind out of me.
Some days I couldn’t get past the anxiety of how long my list was,
I didn’t even know where to start,
so instead I just sat at my desk freaking out, rubbing my head,
trying to think positive, like,
“I have it easy,
a lot of photographer’s are moms and they have to juggle caring for children,
cooking meals, and cleaning!!! While running on no sleep!!!
If they can do it, I can certainly do it!!!”
I am happy to report I am doing much better…
Proof of this is Thrifty Thursday.
So Cheers to a new month:
11/1/12
I am ready for a fresh start,
a new beginning.
Button-down shirt: H and M
Jacket: thrifted
Pants: Forever 21
Boots: Payless
Striped waffle shirt: Gap
Vest: Liv
Jeans: thrifted
(they are my best fitting jeans!
they have a wider boot leg, but I cuffed them for this outfit)
Sandals: a gift from a stranger at Target
(someone put these Rampage sandals on a shelf
and apparently walked off with a pair of Target shoes,
so I asked the management if I could take these home, they said Yes.
Thankfully they were in my shoe size.)

thrifty thursday.

Shirt: thrifted (I think it was hand-made)
Pants: Forever 21
Sandals: “hand-me-down” from my brother’s fiance

Only after getting dressed,
taking photos, and editing them,
did I realize my above outfit
is an exact replica of this outfit I dressed Brielle in
for a photo shoot a few weeks ago—-
bun and all!!!!!

thrifty thursday.

In June, when my luggage got lost for the very first time after 10 years of flights,
it was, of course,
two days before I had to shoot a wedding!!!
It gave me a great excuse to go to the mall and buy an outfit for the wedding….
or outfits for the rest of the week!
I love that when we were shopping that day,
Malc insisted I buy this sweater:)
Sweater: Old Navy
Shorts: Forever 21
Shoes: thrifted
Purse: Target
